From flying blind to a real-time view of every key feature
LeadScout couldn't see their users, couldn't trust their deploys, and couldn't connect ad spend to signups. We rebuilt the platform and wired up the visibility - now every key action, conversion rate, and onboarding completion is on a live dashboard.
LeadScout had a real product with real customers - and three problems that will sound familiar to anyone running a SaaS platform:
- They couldn't see their users. Features shipped into the dark - no reliable read on who used what, or whether a release changed anything.
- They couldn't trust their deploys. The platform had sprawled to roughly 500 AWS resources, with the main stack pressed against CloudFormation's hard limit. Deploys took hours and every one was a risk.
- They couldn't connect ad spend to signups. Landing pages, ads, and the product lived in separate data silos - no way to see which spend produced signups, or where onboarding lost people.
Rebuilt the platform
~500 AWS resources rebuilt to one container plus Postgres. Simpler to reason about, cheaper to run, and deployable in minutes instead of hours.
Feature usage visibility
PostHog wired to every key action - map pins dropped, property data pulled, properties tagged, settings customized, team members invited. Feature utilization on a live dashboard, not a guess.
Funnel visibility
Conversion rates tracked from ad spend and landing pages through signup and onboarding completion - so spend decisions are made with evidence.
Full observability
Error capture, alerting, and session-level visibility in production - the team learns about breaks before customers do.
